    Hey Everyone,

This weekend I took the old tumbler out of the trunk latch on my 49. I noticed that whoever replaced it or tried to replace it chewed up the hole opening to push the pin in to remove the tumbler.

I had to beat the tumbler out.

Now with the new on in the hole was kinda messed up and every time I try and unlock the hatch. the tumbler slides out. How can I get this to stop? Has anyone else had this issue?

The hole to release the push the pin that is used to remove the tumbler is roughed up.

    maybe it's a 49 Ford, or a 49 Chevy, or a 49 Hudson? We can only guess.

We can't see how the hole is "messed up". If you took a picture of it, we could see it.

In his profile he has a 49 Ford 4 dr. I bet that is what he is asking about.
