GG Nashville, TN.....Where to PARTY??? Oh, and eat and stuff.

Who is from or knows Nashville? We'll be there next week for the Goodguys event at Tennessee Titan Stadium. I know that there is a lot of history and nightlife there. Where should a Nashville virgin start?

Downtown Nashville is pretty neat. Lot of night life, bars, music. Downtown is just across the river from the stadium.

Where is the host hotel? Me & Kennedy are at a Clubhouse Inn on Briley Pkwy.

Nashville Marriott Airport is the host hotel. I think that's here we're staying too.

What bars downtown are cool? How about music? I want to go to The Grand Ol Opry on that Saturday night...I don't care who's playing, I just want to say that I've been.

 

There are a bunch of little bars playing live music nearly 24/7 on Broadway. Bands change every few hours, it's real close to the stadium. Last time I was there it was dollar PBR night. That might be every night. A bunch of Harleys down there. Good place to cruise. It can be kind of touristy but GG crowd will be enough to overshadow that.

 

I believe they've also got a Coyote Ugly bar there as well where the chicks dance on the bar for ya too !!!!

 

I like the idea of $1 PBR and girls on the bar.

hit Robert's in downtown. always a band onstage. I think across the street you got Ernest Tubb's Record Store.

 

That's why I had such a huge crush on him.

I do like midgets and siamese twins though. As A kid I really thought the tattooed sideshow women here hot. Now there' 50 of them at every show. Life's rough.

The Blue Grass Inn - Lower Broadway.. typical seasoned bar.. Bands
work for tips. Cheap beer. better music then at roberts.. Its either
Hit or Miss.. Enest Tubs Records across the street. Always spend
alotta time there.. Have fun and Hopefully there will be something
decent outlaw country ....

From what I hear, they are the no longer fun kind.

There is a "3 foot rule" in effect.

However there is a radio ad for one that has a mechanical bull ! ! ! That sounds interesting, even at more than 3 feet away.

 

we went there last year while we were trying to escape another hurricane so we dipped out to nashville the first place we went to was the bluegrass inn there was this rad chick behind the counter and she told me and my chick to come back later that night so we did and there was a decent psychobilly band playin so for the next 5 days she told us where all the cool shit was in nashville cool place wouldnt mind livin there
also eat a place called bbcutie good bbq

Hey, if you're gonna be a tourist , you gotta go walk down on lower Broad and up 2nd Ave. Drink a beer at Tootsie's Orchid Lounge(just to say you did) Walk up to Printer's Alley, get a lapdance at the Brass Rail. If the Bourbon Street Blues club is still there in the alley, check it out if you like good blues.

Been a few years since I've been downtown. Too 'touristy'
I'd go with y'all as a tour guide, but....you know.....

Yup, hit Ken's fer sure. It's a BYOB place though, just so you can be prepared. There's also Christies Cabaret on 8th.

Downtown has a lot going on, mostly centered around 2nd ave and Broadway. On 2nd avenue you have the Wildhorse, Buffalo Billiards, and Graham Central Station (pretty cool last time I was there, 7 different 'clubs' one on each floor) There's also a Hooters on second.

 

I hate it here. I miss Tampa.

There are some pretty good bars on broadway, but if you don't like country music (like me), you're in for a long night.

When is the Good Guys show? I could use a good diversion.

 

If you want a good diversion, the Hot Rod Reunion in Bowling Green, KY this weekend ...just 60 or so miles up the road.

 

Next weekend. The 23rd, 34th and 25th.

Goodguys is gonna be at the Titans coloseum or whatever it's called now. We'll be there Friday and Saturday but are leaving town early Sunday.
