So opening night might be a little on the full side with other folks there. Do we want to do this then or another night. We pick a date that works for us and I can get a list going up here for the Mission Tiki theatre. Any input folks?

Me and my girl are coming over in January for a quick trip......oh, and I've got an email coming your way.

Lets do it the first Saturday the movie shows, yeah it will be full, but it always will unless we go in the middle of the week.

Mark me down and a date or two if im lucky, plus 3 kids, and possibly a soon-to-be-ex-wife. :)

Wayne, I heard you got your stuff. Glad to here you like 'em. January , Cool! Drinks are on me at the Tiki Ti. Sorry for the OT

RustyRedRaM, Thanks for the list. Now, I would say based on what I know about the drive-in ,Thursday June 15th is our best night to really enjoy ourselves there. I know it is a weeknight and that might keep some folks from going ' but it is a double feature and if anybody had to leave early, you could split after CARS.
There is no swapmeet that day. so we won't have to deal with the swap clean up and industrial blowers moving the trash around . The night won't be as busy there and of course they would open the place early for us to set up and tailgate/socialize. I know we are all busy so I'd like to get this set up and all. I'll check feedback on this thread later tonight and if you are in for Thrus let me know. I contact Frank H and let him know so he can notify his people. If y'all have any questions you can drop me and email at tikidiablo@sbcglobal.net or my cell is 323 899 5486 .

It looks like we have two threads going now for this. I'd like to see one full night as opposed to two sp**** nights. Sure opening is a great night with the excitement and all, but Thurs is the best in my opinion so as to enjoy ourselves and not have to deal with alot of people crowding our space and cars. let's decide on this so we can do it right.

Is there a website that will teach me to use a calander properly?!!! Goofed on the date but have changed my posts to reflect the proper date.

OK, so June 15th it is , just confirmed this with Frank and it is a go. We will be seeing the movie on the larger screen at the theatre tha also has 110v outlets at the parking spots to plug our radios into. A few of us can bring some portable radios and it should be fine.

Now for the good stuff. They will open the theatre for us at six so we can park and get all situated.

    1. Bring your small BBQ if you'd like and fire them up. Remember the snack bar is open to us as well.
    2. bring a radio to listedn to the movie. I figure 1 radio should cover about four cars.
    3. lawn chairs or them fold up deals are advised if your car is a little on the uncomfortable side .

    4. bring a sweater of jacket for the little ones just in case it gets chilly .

    5. sorry guys but pets ar not allowed, so leave the little critters at home .

Here is the addy for the theatre

    Mission Tiki Drive-in
    4407 State Street
    Montclair, CA 91763
    Show-times: 909.627.3564
    www.missiontiki.com

I am trying to maybe set up a tour of a local hot rod shop that is in the area that we can do before the theatre . IF it happens cool, if not, well we can all just meet at the theatre .

Please PM me if you want to go to this and I'll get the official list going here on this thread. Now that we have this all cleared up more or less...

Since we're talking the 15th and there are 110v outlets for my ghetto blaster (my hot rods don't have radios), I'm in.

I'd like to show up early with the rest of yall but.......

Is an "older " car necessary or can we bring in a newer vehicle? The older vehicle isn't equipped for my children's car seats.

Older cars are preffered, but I would rather you brought the family along and enjoyed the night together.

keep sending me them pms guys. For all confirmed attendees, we are going to need some 110v ghetto blasters. If you are going to bring a BBQ grill or radio, post it here please. The snackbar is available as well for some popcorn and other treats.

We got a few left on the right coast here in VA. Cars is not gonna play till July. I figure I'll go see it late without the kids inside and then take the family
to the drive in! A cruise in at the drive in to see cars is a *****in' idea.

Don't forget that Drive-Ins, hardly make anything off the box office receipts. Since most of that goes back to the film company. So they deend on their concesson stands to pay the bills and the employees.

What time will the movie start? I might be able to get about 10 to 30 hot rods out there that are driving in from Texas with the Vintage Air gang.

I was out by the Tiki drive in this afternoon...it looks like a great location for this event! I was planning on driving up from the OC around 4:30 pm or so and doing the BBQ tailgate thing in the lot with the family. I'm in Orange if anyone wants to caravan. I was planning on going 91 to the 71 to the 60 to the Ramona off ramp and on up to Mission. Long drive, but heck, getting there is half the fun!
