You have all seen pictures of the famous Barris-built 41 Buick for Herb Ogden, now restored by Kurt McCormick. I wonder which model series is this car based on, Special, Super or Roadmaster? Coupe or convertible? Anyone know?
I thought it was a special I could be wrong. I forgot the year of it and bought a 40 last year. it was not the same thing so I sold it to a buddy...
iTS A 1942 BUICK 41-C ROADMASTER CONVERTABLE. VERY RARE , NOT MANY EXIST TODAY. I OWNED THIS CAR FOR A FEW YEARS, ITS A HONEY!!
WOW....that's one car I don't think I would ever get rid of if I had a chance to keep it.....I guess stuff happens...but that is my favorite car they ever built!
WOW TwoChops. I have never seen that car in red paint. amazing. Thank you for sharing. The car was originally built by by Tony Pisano (sorry I dont have any photo's of the car in this version (with fender skirts) Later Herb Ogden bought the car and had Barris do some work on it. The Padded top is one of the best proportioned ever! This is how Barry found the Buick in the 80's... deeply tunneled taillights (and headlights but you cant see that in this photo) Halfway thru restoration. Barry performed most of the restoration work himself in his home garage. Restoration complete (with skirts) Kurt McCormick is now the proud owner of one of the best looking late 40's styled customs around.
Brewsir....the reason Barry sold it, was to get the AZTEC! Tough choices in this world........... Barry did great job restoring BOTH of these previously lost Kustoms.
