Technical Remote P/S Reservoir Hose

Couple of questions here. I have an aftermarket Power Steering Reservoir supplying a GM Gen II P/S pump. Is it necessary to use high pressure hose on the intake side of the pump? Seems to me there's no pressure on this side of the pump...only suction. Same thing for the return line from the rack to the reservoir. Any ideas??

 

You're right, no pressure, regular hose will do.

 

Use Weatherhead hose, stand's up to oil.
