Just got new axles for a factory posi unit with the green bearings. All is good until the last axle is 3/8 from bolting up flush. I need to remove the "thrust block" that seperated the old axles to make it all work. How do i get it out? Do i have to take the whole thing apart to get at it?

Not being a **** here...are you mocking up the rear end, or final ***embling with the brake backing plates on and everything?

It's a mock up but the backing plates are on. The axle company said the thrust block has to come out with the new style bearings.

I'm by no means an 8 3/4 expert, but I do believe you have to atleast take the spider gears out to get the block out.

i agree with brad, if it is ready to go with brakes on and all. i would pull the axles out and cut each one a tad and it will fit without taking the rear end apart.
