    One more hell no. I bought a set of lancers and when I inspected them I found one scratched, one with a big ***ed piece of chrome peeled off, one
    with stripped screws rattling around inside and ONE nice one. They did send me a new nice set BUT I paid 17 MORE dollars in shipping. They charged 25 to send them the first time. Expensive and cheap quality. I guess I expected
    more because of the NAME. Wrong again.

    You guys are really funny. Anyone still shopping there is just begging to be screwed over.

    All those damn "gadgets" & stickers are just tacky ****. There are great alternatives to most of the hard parts they offer.

    Man,

    Nothing ****tier than getting the run around over parts orders. I just ordered a set of breathers from them online, got an email the next morning with a tracking number, and the package arrived in three days. I musta got lucky.

    I gave up on Mooneyes more than 5 years ago. Speedway and Parr get the majority of my business. They have real folks to talk to and their stuff always arrives on time. Other than them, I use two local parts places. Something fishy about a car parts company that has their own line of clothing - but that's just me.

    It must be the whole business. Last summer they had a both at a show. They brought some valve covers and some other little junk, half of it they didn't bother unloading (which would have only taken them 10 minutes with the little they brought) they opened the boxes and left them for you to dig through, and they sat there drinking beer instead of helping me and a few others find stuff we were looking for.

    Something reminded me of this thread, and I felt it's fair to update;

    Mooneyes did make it right after seeing this thread. The guy who was handling email correspondence apologized, and I get the feeling he caught some serious **** for dropping the ball.

    So I'm square with them. I do hope we get a visit from a rep one day telling us they have made management changes, and that there will be a new Mooneyes that's more like the old-old Mooneyes.

    (standing up........coughing a bit........raising hand.......) I too was screwed over by Moon. Right about a year ago now. Shifter, shift knob inserts, and a t-shirt. I FINALLY got everything. But everything in that order that was wrong, I ended up keeping. Rather than paying the shipping back, I just bought more, and made them discount it, and pay the shipping. Took 6 months, but finally got everything including a bad taste in my mouth.

    Since I've seen the Mooneyes threads pop up, like the NW Speed ones. I never got screwed by the later, somehow I got everything and good service, but have since heeded the warnings and moved my business elsewhere on both.

    I just had a REALLY good experience with Mooneyes. I have a 3qt chopper tank for my Triumph and somehow the top bung managed to crack around one of the welds. We never came to a resolution as to WHY it happened, but suspect vibration and possibly just even a contaminated weld. Anyway, it also had chain ware on the bottom from where my chain got away from me and almost ate THROUGH the tank! They asked that I send the tank back to have it looked at. They repaired the bung FREE OF CHARGE... AND... they even repaired the chain ware for me! I never would have expected them to go through the h***le of repairing that as well, but they did. I dealt with Chico the whole time and he was super cool! So if anyone knows Chico, please tell him "many thanks from Scott in Vegas"!!

    I will do business with them again and my Model A will get a spun aluminum tank from them as well!

    Well, I was going to buy a set of Moon gauges for my A but, after reading this, forget it. Seems like Moon has always had a bad reputation. In fact, I thought they went out of business years ago until I start seeing there stuff pop up again in some of the rat rods. There is something drastically wrong with a company when you see this many complaints. The people running that place evidently have a different idea of what customer service is. They can have the best products in the world but, if the cs ****s it won't matter. I don't see myself buying any of there products--keep your ****ing T shirt.:mad:

    Had a customer of mine buy a moon tach not too long ago, the thing never worked right. After checking it out, the $250.00 he paid bought him a cheap taiwan tach meter and a plastic dial face.Not to mention the "chrome" housing was plastic! CHEAP ****.
