i loved the way the car looked rolling out of the garage. the show was great. definatly nice to see a ford wagon get cut up. I about died laughing when you said "dont look at me, im just a bad*** okie midget" something about the way you said it with a hint of an at***ude was funny as hell. rock on. great show

I was so distracted by all the old clips that I didn't even notice Jesse wasn't at all involved with the final build- nice tactic by the production crew!

Whose idea was it to lay the thing on the ground and then ruin the lines with those ****py wheels? Looked like a crab running on the beach.

Cool build all around, the paint was a little feminine, but not terrible. But the wheels. My GOD those ugly f'ing wheels. And the 4x4 stance driving everywhere. What were they thinking?

I want to PS that thing on some Mopar wires and whites... if anyone has a shot of it.

I've got a 53 Ranchwagon I'm working on and really wanted to see this episode. I turned it off after a half hour. So little of the show was about the build. Mostly posturing and BS. I'd like to see a photo of the finished car though if someone has one to post.

i caught this at midnight. until i realized it was two hours long i was kinda bummed about how little of the build they were showing. when i realized it was two hours i was kinda bummed by how much extra stuff they were putting in. the chop and section came out really really nice. i liked the stance and look of it. when they rolled it out of the shop i thought it looked awesome. thennn it went downhill. i think a milder/closer to stock color with just a little more flare would have done it right. gene's paint job was amazing though technically. the wheels? no good. i understand starbird's sentiment about making it something jesse would like. but look at the other kustom builds. they didn't roll out with giant rims. i'm not saying big ol' rims look bad on everything, but the context needs to be right. if you have a 06 bentley coupe? sure, throw rims on that. but it ruined the look of this car for me. the grill treatment didn't do it for me either along with the tint. rolling out of the garage i thought it had so much potential. i haven't been really looking at cars all that long but i'm an art student and i've been an art kid for a long time so i know a little something about composition and lines and color. but hey, that's just an opinion.

Hit the head square on the nail!

This car looked so cool after freshly chopped, channeled, with cl***ic 2-tone colors and original steelies. A lot of potential rolling out of the door.

But when they showed the result- Gaaackk! Boogered up with ridiculous clown rims, and I thought that although Gene is a respected master, the color choice was not good and the 'Winfield fade' did this car's lines no favors at all, IMO.

I think the grill was lacking because I'm guessing they literally spent no time on it all. So much attention went to chopping the roof/ fitting the body without the fenders or grill. But perhaps Lil Mike can comment on that. Also, how much was this car built to Thom Beer's spec?

BTW, Mike kudos on a killer build!

good job mike. overall it was a good show. they just focused more on the show as a whole and not the specifics of the final build. which they did a good job at showing everything from the first episode till now. but i wish there was more on the build.

Did any body notice how they put JJ on there saying he would fake it if they asked him to??? It was completly out of context. Almost like a FU Jessie You had no idea what they were talking about. Every one puts there pants on one leg at a time but I have always thought that if JJ wasnt some big celeb he would be cool to hang out and build **** with.

The car was cool. I liked it. Just wasn't a fan of the big wheels. Made it look like a Boyd Car IMO. With some other wheels and tires it would have looked different. Big wheels are for new trucks.

I tried hard to get the steelies to stay!

The grille got left out just because of lack of time... we only had 5 days. that **** is HARD!!! Oh yeah, and Frank the engine guy- yeah he cant bleed brakes either. The all around best builder was Doug, hands down. Darryl was awesome too. Gene was a *****, and tryed make it his show- sorry Gene, that's my job. and the rest of the people weren't really hotrodders. Chrissie the welder was way fun to work with- not to mention hot.. HAHAH!

Gene didn't like it when I said to just flat black it and roll what it had for wheels- be glad he didn't put the skirts on it- big wheels and skirts (the long ones that go all the way down the quarter.) GAY!!! We all turned on him there. I told him to his face that they were gay and the guy that designed the wheels that they were gay.

But truth be known- I want that car!

i just watched it last night, i was really impressed with all the metal work involved. i also liked the idea of sectioning the front fenders to make room for the wheels.... not that i like the wheels but the idea and solution to a problem was cool. great job. and i like that you have your opinions and keep to them.

Great job on the show, Dude! Gonna miss watching some of the wierd stuff
they'd come up with to build. Maybe somebody will come up with a
simular show. Ditto on the ugly*** wheels!!! I'm with you on the flat it
& roll it with the stock wheels.
Oh well. Congrats on a good show!

Man, the ride hight with the 20" wheels was awful!

Same here, I never saw a finished car on the later show. I figured since Starbird got bored and went home that the void coddington wheel idea left with him.

Thanks! oof, the rear window looks a little like a Chevy Luv pickup... The grill could use some holes, how about a zig-zag cut? Looks like it would overheat real bad. Black cherry would have been cool...

man i really dont like the paintjob that they ended up doin on that thing. i really liked how it looked when it was rollin off the lift. should have just shot a coat of the light blue back on it and left the steels and wide whites. i wasnt happy at all with the final product. those wheels are *** by the way...
