1952-59 Ford Artsy Fartsy Shots

Went our for a late supper with my boys tonight and my oldest wanted to take some shots of my old heap...

 

Nice shots, always fun to see our cars out on the road.

Thanks! The color on my sedan is dying back again and needs another good buffing. It is still the paint Ford put on it and doesn't have much life left, but can only be original once so I keep trying to salvage it as best I can and will likely never actually re-paint it. I have learned over the years that I enjoy these old cars much more when I don't have to worry about them quite as much and that is coming from a guy that used to restore and paint cars for a living.

 

Guthrie, the stance on that 56' is absolutely perfect. Nice job, Sir.

How was the stance achieved?

 

It just has Aerostar springs in the front and 2” blocks in the rear on the original springs. I think I have about $100 plus an alignment in lowering it.

Don't think so if your asking of your avatar. Ours in Pea**** Blue and Colonial White.

 

A few more I took a while back.

 

My paint code is DE2... pretty sure that means diamond blue and colonial white. I think my paint color is different than it was originally... Any one else have a DE2 coded 56 care to comment?

 

I want that grill.
