Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Lucky chop shop, Jul 5, 2019.

  1. Hi everyone,
I had a quick and slightly stupid question regarding the clutch fork on my 292 y block. When I pulled the engine and ****** and dropped it into my 31 model a, I forgot which way engages the clutch, the fork forward or back?

  2. Back towards the rear of the car...

  3. So for a hydraulic clutch I would then need a pull slave cylinder right?

  4. Depends on which side of the fork you mount it. Front side, a push slave. Back side, a pull...

  5. If you're going to set it up as a pull, you might give some thought to using a cable.
