Fellas, if you have any leads on a 1956 Ford Customline Victoria do let me know. My dad contacted me again last week about finding one. He lives in the Winston Salem, NC area.
Found this on FB Marketplace in Bristol. Just a little 2.5hr drive from Winston Salem. Link to ad below. Don't know what level of project you're looking for....maybe something further from completion? Its what I know of around here for a hardtop without being tons of money and not roached. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2196932240393293/
thanks for the link - nice car to start with! but, he is looking for a Customline - different trim model, same body style. he would like for the ***le to match. here is a random link to the body and trim style in question... https://cars.oodle.com/detail/used-1956-ford-customline-for-sale/4912525153-cadillac-mi/
I gotcha....Just did a little research... " Ford’s p***enger car production number (excluding Thunderbird totals) for model year 1956 was 1,392,847 units. Of those, a total of 33,130 were the two-door hardtop Customline Victoria." I guess most 56' 2 door hardtop Vickys are Fairlanes. It says there was only $100 difference between the two, and Fairlane being the "top model", most went for it. Interesting, learn something new everyday! Ill keep an ear to the ground for ya down here.
I think the 56 customlines only got the 272 as well... The fairlanes (like mine) had the 292 4 barrel and dual exhausts through the bumper... I like the customline side trim better but If I had been faced with that $100 price point in the 50's, I'd take the fairlane. 25Hp is still 25Hp.
