Projects Hi from aus 55 desoto

Hi im from austraila, and this is my 55 desoto project, brought the car all ready pulled apart, and in primer but the it got the better of me, so have been rubbing it back to bare metal, so far have done the right rear 1/4 and both right hand doors, will be welding up the trim holes, and building it as a mild custom, has the flat head 6 in it with what i think is the tourqe flight auto. Big bonus when i broight it brakes had all ready been rebuilt from front to back. Motor 4uns and drives when it wants to little bit of sorting out to do with that but will get there then just need to find some windscreen rubbers for it and then should be full steam a head with it. Welcome aboard Rusty! Maybe it's an Australian version, but the body style is completely different than the '55 Desoto that I had. Sold mine to my buddy (in the picture) about 7 years ago.

 

Yeh it is an aus thing think my body is the same as the usa 53 body im pretty sure bur does make it a bit hard when looking for parts in the usa as you have know what your car is over there as they can be different

That would be a Plymouth Cambridge in the US. I was scratching my head at '55 and flat head 6 for a Desoto...
