I recently found a nice running and complete 223 I6 from a truck complete and together with a three speed. My 52 Customline currently has a 223 (I know it would have been a 215) with 3 speed and overdrive mounted into it but the engine is toast. What all is different and do I need to swap the truck engine into the car?

The trucks had a mount on the front called a "steady rest" you won't need it in a car there is a difference in some of the water pumps, you will want to use the bell housing clutch and flywheel from your car other than that it's pretty much straight forward. You will also want to use the cars oil pan and oil pump screen.

Thanks, Jeff. So do I need to change the water pump?

It depends,if your donor motor came with the generator and pulleys you could probably keep them the way they are the radiator hose size may be different but that wouldn't be a big deal.
