My 1952 Chevy 3100 was originally purchased used by my grandfather in 1955 and was his daily through 1980. His brother was a recording artist in Nashville and worked with some of the greats like George Strait, Charlie Pride, Merle Haggard, and Moe Bandy. In 1981, Moe Bandy released an album with Joe Stampley called "Hey Joe! Hey Moe!" with my (grandfather's) 3100 on the cover!! Pretty neat little piece of the history of my truck. 20190714_191106.jpg 20190714_191409.jpg

Kewl, I love trucks that have a family history behind them plus a bit of fame.

  4. I like the AD trucks. especially the ones with the corner windows like yours. The only thing I don't like is the closed drive line. and the really low rear gears.

Yep, I hear you. I get about 50mph and the engine's turning pretty good.

Cool story and truck! I'm a big fan of these trucks owning mine from the age of 16. And being a musician
some of the bands I played in covered a few songs from that album. It brings back a lot of good memories. Thanks!
