I always gave Steve a hard time at the RD booth at BTTF's.....He had hoped to make my Iola party last year but we missed him.

A truly great writer and friend of the lifestyle.

My Prayers are with Steve's family, this is truly sad news,...... I guess the "real Hot Rod" ranks are getting thinner all the time. till we meet again my friend,......

Steve's mother says dress casual, Steve will be wearing a hawaiian shirt.

 

Anyone getting a order together for flowers if so can we get it thumbtacked for everyone who wants to help.

 

I did not know Steve and it seems that my life would have been much richer to have known him. These things are hard to comprehend, I lost a close friend to cancer at the same time i was fighting the same cancer and still wonder why i'm alive and he is gone. One thing I hope is that Brett and Steve find each other and turn some wrenches together. My heart goes out to friends and family.

I've known Steve for a long time. He helped me write a book, he had the faith and insight I lacked. Steve was like that; he could see the best in a person and find a way for them to see it too. I know there will never be another like him and I feel so incredibly priveledged to have been able to call him my friend.

Damn, just saw this post tonight. I had the pleasure of meeting Steve a number of times at various events in the early 90's. He was quite the fellow. He'll be deeply missed.
