I’ve ran similar with mine too. I don’t think I’ve ran 115 but I think 114 and mid 13’s with a 2.6 or so 60’. I’m running on the Coker Classic bias plies. I literally almost have to leave at an idle off the line.

I've been way too busy this past year to give my car the proper attention it needs to go the speeds its capable of. So unfortunately the A-HOLE wont be in joplin this year. Sometimes adulting sucks.

That’s a bummer I always enjoy watching that ol Ford run. And I’m not even a Ford Powerplant guy but, that one I dig!

I just got back from the Glory DaysDrags (formerly the Meltdown Drags) it was soooo HOT. Heat index of 107 and air temp on the track pavement was 114. I did a couple great burnouts. And ran a best of 12.82 and best MPH of 109. I then got to line up against a great ‘40 coupe with a blown Hemi. It should have been a good race. I cut a .041 light and must have forgot how to drive because I just blew the tires off for the first 100 feet or so then missed 2nd gear and went on to embarrass myself with a mid 14 @102 . It made for a couple good pictures though.

What exactly do you have going on with the little Chevvie motor under the hood of that '40? That sumbitch moves out.

According to mr. google, my house is 138.4 miles from the front gate of the dragstrip. If I were to drive around in circles in the pits for a while would that count?

That should not be a problem as I have made many, many wrong turns in my life.

Kind of a running joke with my wife and I, we always chuckle and say “well we’ve got the wrong turn out of the way now we can proceed to our destination” because we inevitably will take at least one wrong turn along the way every trip. Especially since the advent of the TomTom.

I appreciate it! I so bad want to run it but something about 130+ mph with worn out king pins and tie rods in the front no roll bar yet and a small list of other things it just ain't going to happen this year. This winter its coming completely apart and will be set on kill for the 2020 season!

So I’m not the only one that has to roll the fronts up on 2x4’s to get the jack under the chin pan? I better get busy and check mine over too. I may have a pilot bushing going bad on mine , but I most certainly am not pulling the front sheet metal and motor/ trans before the drags so I’m hoping it hangs on for another 1200 miles. See you there.
