What vehicle did the transmission come from?
I'm sure you know this, but the driveshaft yoke is not engaged far enough.

 

Ford Toploader 4 speed... Exactly, it is not in its position, it has to go about 5-6 inches forward.

I recognized it as a toploader, but I'm not familiar with the linkage and was curious about that part. Is it an Argentine application?

 

Needs a shift tower from a Jeep T-176 IMHO

 

Looks like the toploader may be out of a 65 falcon.

 

The box that called Ford 325 is the same box as in the US replacement T10 Borg wagner, which is used in the Dodge Coronado Gt and that really in the family of boxes that can be obtained in Argentina, is one of the best in terms of robustness and performance, are ideal for V8 engines. In Argentina used in the Falcon and Fairlane. In the United States, there were standard boxes in the mustang with 289 and also the 390 large blocks were brought. (This information was courtesy of Mariano Loisi) In synthesis is a 303 with one more change, the 303 brings 9 bolts in the inspection cover and the 325 brings 10, as it is the daughter of the 303 of there part its robustness and resistance for large torque engines. The front shifter mounting bosses make it more of a falcon transmission. The Fairlane, mustang and such had the shifter mounting bosses more towards the end of the tailshaft to place the shifter rearward.

 

Exactly, you're right... it's from a Falcon! In Argentina the body came only 4door and with inline 6. The Fairlane with inline 6 and Y-Block 292 engines.
Maybe the Argentinian Fairlane it's different from US.
