My pal John Collins showed up last night at the McDonald's cruise in sporting the new plaque he made for his coupe, John drove this car to the very first event in Peoria, and he
incorporated the dash plaque in his salute to the men that has inspired the last 50 years,

Look for John in Louisville next week, He is a great guy and a real hotrodder! :) HRP

It's great that he recognised three great guys who were a big part of organizing this hobby of ours.

I believe Bud Bryan is still a part of the hobby and still building hot rods.

We lost Tom Medley in 2014

And Leroi "Tex" Smith in 2015

Tom Medley quoted about Tex - Sure, he was a hot rodder's hot rodder, but he also loved fishing.

Hopefully Bud will be in Louisville with his roadster pickup to celebrate his 50 years of involvement with the huge event he helped to create. HRP
