It has been a rough year for fellow HAMBer and GMB "primer". He has lost a few close friend over the past year, and there is no letting up. On monday, Stacy lost his home to fire. The whole family was uninjured in the fire, but it was a complete loss. I spoke with Stacy on the phone last night, and it seems that everyone is still in shock, but they are doing fine otherwise. They were left with the clothes on their backs, buy the wheels are in motion with the insurance company, so things are looking up. Stacy's parents and siblings live near them, so they are staying with them for now. I have offered any help I can, and others have too, but it seems that they have things under control. Stacy has no idea that I am posting this, but I figured that some words of encouragemnet from our family could do nothing but boost his spirits. He will likely be off-line for awhile, but I will print the responses and give them to him on Saturday, at his clubs monthly car cruise.

    Thanks, -Joe

My heart goes out to him and his family. I've got several grandkids that keep growing so if there are kids involved and additional clothes are needed; PM me with ages and genders and I may be able to ship some clothes out asap.

Tell Stacy we're pulling for him and his.

Yeah, if he's a friend of yours he's... wow... poor guy... all this bad stuff PLUS having you around all the time...:p

Seriously, I'll have my Mom put the good word in with the man upstairs (God for those of you reading along)

You don't want me praying for you. Seriously. :)

HAMB love has pulled many of people through some horrible stuff. You'll be fine!

Thank god the family is all right! It is a shock to loose all your stuff and have to start over but it seems car people are organized and pull stuff together when it is on the line. I wish him and family nothing but the best.

I'll be praying for him. It is very hard to see a family lose everything. The worse thing is that they typically lose their family pictures and things that cannot be replaced. You can replace clothes but not history. My thoughts are with them.

  10. Primer,

Man, that is a ard thing to live thru. I was involved in a house fore and lost everything as well. It takes a while but you have your health and family. those are the most important things anyway. Hopefully the insurance company will treat you well. Remember you do not have to accept their offer of settlement if you think it is too low. stick to your guns. Also the redcross can help with cash stipends to get you startred back on your feet...

Man this is tough to hear. Just a couple of weeks ago we were standing around shootin the shit and I was "teasing" him about his name, etc. If I remember correctly I think he had a teenage daughter with him. How about getting us some clothing sizes. I know both myself and Roadstar have PLENTY of extra car t-shirts we could donate and I'm sure I could come up with some clothes for the wife and daughter just to get them through for a bit. See what you can find out Joe and let me know. Is there anything else the family needs right now??

It sounds like they are set, as far as clothes and things go, but I will let everybody know if that should change, I appreciate all the good thoughts, and I am sure it will make his day.

    Joe,
Thanks for the update. Very sorry to hear about that. Why is it that so much of the bad stuff happens to the good people. Hope to see and Primer at the A&W Saturday night. I'd like to say hi to him and wish him well.

This is cadlady, i am Primers mother, his dad and i limemerc, would like to thank all of you, God bless you all. Even though Stacy has a close family and we are always there for them nothing beats friends. Stacy is a strong man, but even iron bends and sometimes needs support. You have always been there in his darkest hours.Thank you and God bless.

Just found this thread. somehow it slipped through without my noticing it until now. Like everyone else, you have our spiritual support and any other kind that you find youself in need of, just let us (or Joe) know so we can respond. Take care and each of you give each other big hugs knowing you still have your family. That's way more important than "things".

    Stacy.
Since I'm not on here as much as I used to be I hadn't heard about this until Fuelpump called me today. We're planning on coming down to Flushing this Sat. for the cruise. Hope to see you there. I'm really glad to hear that you're all ok. Hang in there...good things will come your way.

  20. Just found this thread too... Damn sorry to hear this Stacy. I haven't know you to long, but I know that your a great person and you deserve a lot better than the hand you've been dealt. If you and your family needs anything give me a shout... seriously, I'm not far away at all.

    Hope to see you Saturday.

Sorry to here about the Primer's problems. I always remind myself to enjoy the things I have because I could be in a worse situation. I wish I was in a position to do more than lend moral support.
