Ottragous says he has picture of A/A coupe. Would like to make copies. Coming to the Arlington Drag Strip reunion in Sept. Please contact me about meeting!
Know all about the Arlington Drag Strip Reunion every September, know all about the Travel-On's Racing Team (they had some pretty "fancy" jackets; at leastwise in their later years), know all about Herb McNutt (RIP) who managed Arlington, and every time I'm there at Arlington, seeing that condemned runway not being used for anything at all (well, it's marked as "ARLINGTON", for pilots to see), is just sickening. However, as far as what the OP is getting at, I have NO idea (???). I have a friend who has some 8 mm film footage he and his brother took at Arlington in 1967, of Mel Van Niewenhuise setting the AA/FD top speed record at 227.85; course you can't really see anything due to the distance involved, the weather was overcast, and they were't very good photographers (camera was moving all over the place), but the banner they made after they got home, and added to the film at the end, is very visible (Magic marker on a bed sheet). They thought they were going to get really rich off the film or something. Last time I actually saw a Travel-On's jacket, was in 1982, when I was making license runs in my FED at Seattle International Raceway. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
Video my dad (John Kincl) filmed in 1966 at a Travel-Ons meet. I just had it converted to digital format and uploaded it to my PNW history channel.
