Since @Moriarity 's thread about the Happy Days '29 rpu on Green Acers has "jumped the Shark" asking a bout the tractor and such and mine is about an old auction i thought what about a thread about the cars of Happy Days. I don't think there's as much writen about there's cars as let's say the American Grafiti cars, for example i've always wondered about the green '32 ford roadster seen being push started by a bunch of guys in the opening scene at Arnolds drive inn. Did it have a hot v8 with a magneto or just a bad starter?:D

The Triumph Scrambler from the show is a permanent display at the San Diego Automotive Museum in Balboa Park.

Read once that the first year Fonzie wore a regular jacket and rode the Harley. When they put him in a leather jacket later on, he lost the Harley and got the Triumph. The studio wouldn't allow a leather jacket AND a Harley on him, too much hoodlum.

  16. Howard’s Desoto was a flat head,,,,48 maybe.
Michael Lembeck is the actor that drove the hot rod,,,,,I think his characters name was Dooley. Maureen McCormick is the girl that Richie was trying to impress.
I always loved when Fonzie spoke into the phone receiver to the guys bringing the high performance parts,,,,Just burn rubber.
And then he told Richie,,,,,Cunnningham,,,,if you crack up in that rod,,,that won’t be anything left of you to punish.

Henry Winkler said on tv recently that he had no idea of how to ride a motorcycle.
The program showed Winkler trying to ride a scooter and he had trouble with that.

  18. I could never work out how all of Richie's cars were newer than his Dads Desoto but were like old junkers. JW

i saw a interview with henry and he said the only time he was ever on a motorcycle was the shot in the opening of the show that shows him going down the driveway, all the rest was a double.
