    City: Oklahoma City

    State: Oklahoma (Boomer!)
    Price: $13,500.00
1955 Ford Mainline with a clean green Oklahoma ***le, tagged and insured. I've owned it for two years and driven it 2500 miles, sorting it out as I drove it. I bought another project that's the only reason I'am selling it.
It's a 272 Y block with three speed on the column. Three 2's, front and back carbs blocked off. New speedway power booster and master cylinder, proportioning valve, new water pump, new alt. new fuel pump, new aluminum radiator with heater water on and off valve. Heater works great just want to control hot water from going into it in the summer time. All original windows with no cracks, roll up and down great because we oiled every mechanism. Vacuum windshield wipers work, LOL. Back windows only goes down half way. Trunk, hood and doors have that solid 55 Ford sound when closing and opening. Black acrylic enamel shot in 1980, never buffed until I bought it. Could use another buffing by a pro to make it really shine. All four master cylinders and brake lines replaced, new break shoes on back, eight inch maverick rear end with new pinion seal. Front end completely re-built, everything replaced except the upper a frame bushings. New old stock seat covers on front and rear seats, original door panels, new headliner, new 55 Ford rubber Mainline floor mats, 55 Mainline trunk mat, all bought new from Mac's. Dixco Tach, new volt meter, water temp and oil pressure under dash, all work great. Fuel gage, speedometer, choke, emergency break all work great. All lights, turn signals, tag light are working.
We converted this 55 Ford to 12 volt, starts great every time, idles at 500 RPM. All new exhause, underslungs with speedway 36" smitty's with that great y-block sound. New plugs, wires, points, rotor installed two years ago. New inner and outer rockers, front toe floor board installed on driver side. We worked on this car to be a driver, replaced a lot of parts that were working but wanted reliability on the road. I was going to convert the steering to a 602 borg warner power steering box but that's the one thing I haven't gotten around to. The original 22 to 1 steering box works fine, has some play in it, might be able to adjust it out but we haven't tried. All new radial tires, including spare, three new wheel vintiques rims, 15 X 5 inch on front and 15 X 6 inch on back. It's got some rust popping out under the driver side front headlight, some amateur bondo work here and there along with some good body work, but it's a great 46,000 mile survivor with original keys that work in all doors and trunk. Call with questions, Thanks Fred 405-414-0144

I've had some good trade offers, just nothing I wanted. I would look at a project and cash or put some cash with the 55 and trade up!
I forgot to post that the 55 has new radiator hoses. New Speedway retractable seat belts and a new fire extinguisher.

I drove this old Hot Rod quite a bit this last year. I had the front end aligned and it now has positive caster. It really goes down the road straight even with the little bit of play in the steering wheel. I would consider doing some trading on a 40 Ford deluxe coupe, must be a Hot Rod. If it needs sorting out or hasen't run in a while with a lot of patina and some original paint that's great and just what I am looking for. Thanks, Fred
