Technical Leaf Spring Question

Newbie Question: I am changing ch***is and the one I am going to is a heaver capacity ch***is. If the ride is terrible which leaf should I remove first The short ones or longer ones?

How many are in the bundle now?

 

The short ones! [This is a very common practice with different rated "trailer" springs]

The longer a spring is, the stiffer it is.

 

About 10 total

 

I would pull every other one then add them back as needed. Add the longer ones first.
