Hi. I've been doing quite a few jobs on my heavily patinated but running 1941 Ford Pickup. I've had the camera rolling so have a new two part video up on Youtube. I'm muddling my way through a windshield replacement. I thought it would be a good idea to create a playlist for the 41 pickup rolling resto videos, so the last three are now on the playlist and this windshield job is now part 4 in the series. Hope that makes sense. I have been trying a new camera and have been recording audio separately. I'm pleased with the improvement in video quality but had problems and lost some of the better audio. Anyone who puts out videos will understand the pain. I have a couple more I'm editing and will post them up when I can and add them to the playlist. Hope you enjoy them. Here's the link to the latest offering: Part 4a: Part 4b: Thanks guys, and thanks in advance for any likes, comments or subscribes you fancy throwing my way. Cheers! Mart.
Well I'm impressed with your calm at***ude! I guess I get frustrated more easily. On th plus side your shed looks nice and plumb! Was that a mug of tea in th first video? Watching a LOT OD British TV from re-runs of Heartbeat to Silent Witness to Luther, etc. I know tea apparently cures any ills. So I suggest when you have difficulty in the future you should just pore "a cuppa" on th eproblem and it will solve itself! Keeps th evideos coming, I quite enjoy them...
Mart, I just noticed that the driver's side top centre rubber looks like it needs to have the very bottom where it covers the gl*** to be looked at, seems that it doesn't lay flat like the rest of it. Also, up in the header where it's rusted out a bit I would suggest spraying inside with Waxoyl to prevent any further deterioration.
Thanks fellas. Yes, always good to have a nice cuppa on the go. The divider bar wasn't fully tightened down when that clip was shot. Although a lot better than it was, it does still leak, even after applying some sealant. I don't know if I have been using the right stuff. I'll try some more sealant and see if I can stop the leaks altogether. The rust out in the header was from rodent infestation years ago I don't want to put waxoyl in it because it will make it a pain when I come to weld it up sometime in the future. Thanks for the comments. Mart,
I did mine also......but I was a lot less patient and tore the first side. It's a total pita to do and with sealant it still leaks a little also.
Tea always works, calms you down, lifts up your spirits, quenches your thirst, the ultimate in refreshment. In Britain when you start work as the youngster, traditionally the first step is to learn how to brew a decent cup of tea., bearing in mind most people like tea in varying strengths from cat's piss (weak) to bulls blood(strong). then milk is added in varying quan***ies according to taste, and god help you if you got it wrong.
