Use the original front crossmember to mount the spring. If you don't have the original front model A crossmember, make one out of 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 1/4" wall square tubing welded between the front framerails wherever you want the spring to be. Cut out the side which faces towards the ground, thus leaving a C-channel shape which the spring will fit up inside (the model A spring is 1 3/4" wide). Split the wishbones and put Heim joints or microflex bushings in the end of them. Set the axle out in front of the rad shell where you want it to be, and weld attachment plates to your frame for the ends of the radius rods. You will have to establish where the center of the spring falls in relationship to the wishbones. Drill thru the wishbones at this point (horizontally) and weld in a steel sleeve which has the same inside diameter as the hole thru a model A axle where the perch bolt fits in. Install the perch bolts thru the sleeves in the radius rods, and attach them to the springs with the model A spring shackles.
