Salina where? Not Salina KANSAS??? I was there this year and never saw that. What's the story Jim?

I guess if I heard that two trains where headed toward each other at high speed and they were probably going to meet at the edge of town at midnight, I'd drive out to see what happens. It would be dark at midnight so I would light a fire in a dumpster to provide some light. trainwreck/dumpsterfire

I don't know where Jim is today, but I'll answer! Yep Bill, it was there. Jim and I were talking to Danny and Marissa after you and Karen left late Saturday afternoon and Danny told us about this car. Turns out it had a transmission fluid leak and someone had the owner park down behind the main stage where a cul-de-sac is. All the years I've been to Salina and I never knew it was back there.
After Danny told us about it, me and Jim hot footed it across the park to find it. The car was pretty radical and some of the styling cues were questionable (in a traditional custom kind of way), but I thought it was cool none-the-less. I hope it returns next year in a nice coat of kandy.
Right after we checked it out, we said our goodbyes and Jim hopped in his Caprice following his folks headed for a Sunday show (I forget where) and then home Sunday afternoon. This is one of the last pictures I snapped on Saturday.

Last 2 pic`s. The scanner is causing me fits today. One is of close-ups of the headlights like Ed took. The other is of the tail-light. Thanks Ed for the back story. neat to see it although not to everybody's likings. The work performed looked rather good.
