I was at Mike's shop last Saturday working on a mutual friend's Bronco, and got to witness the 32 in person. Mike did a really nice job putting that one together. It has stance for days!

Well it is set up but for a few details. We need more than 4 guys to move bleachers; note to Troy

What’s the lodging situation there? I’m thinking of attending next year and like to make my plans well ahead of time.

Depends on what your expectations are...there are Kabins at the KOA Century Casino Hotel and Grand Z that has rooms. There are a few B and B's then there is Georgetown that is a short distance away that has Hotel rooms. Blackhawk is nextdoor and pricy Casino rooms
You have enough advance time to make reservations in advance. Should be about the same time next year...

We did the air b&b route and scored a crazy cool cabin in empire 10 minutes away for less than a hotel room.

Oh, and yes we are finally here! Gonna go do the George Town loop tomorrow and fart around a bit :)

After a day if adventures we made it to central city tonight and my mind was completely blown.

I’ve seen every photo, video, three second clip or interview that’s even been put in print or online and zero of them do how insanely cool this is.

I get what the fuss is about and it’s not even race day yet lol

    33B19E11-3351-4F33-8717-C05FB869E418.jpeg I’m pretty ridiculously excited.

Not even trying to hide it lol this is crazy cool. The city, the landscape, the weather, oh yeah the couple hundred pre 35’ hotrod don’t hurt either!

  26. LOL. Did he tell you how it got the name "The Dirty Girl"? That came from a comment that I had made while out at "Hot Rod Night" at his shop. I said something like it was much like the "dirty girl" in high school, because many guys have had her over the years, and some of them more then once! So much for Mike's official name as "The Jim Pike Coupe".

Question for all you participants. What are accomodations like if you trailer your car in??? Is there a central place for trailers or do you have to leave it at the hotel??? Can the hotels handle all these trailers???

There is a lot for the trailers away from the action.

I doubt you’d be able to fit in the hotel parking as it’s pretty much only parking ramps. Plenty of air b&b type houses and camping sites a lot of people go that route
