Maybe this isn't supposed to be a lost'n'found section but a good ol' bloke from Cal. slipped off the contact list. Met Del Updike at the International Speed Challenge at Lake Gairdner in South Australia when 75 Americans and 5 race cars came down to the deep deep south to taste our salt conditions. He's a top bloke who did some freelance magazine work. Last I heard he lived in California and he would cover nostalgic drags and lakes racing. Lost contact with him about 5 years ago, would love to know if he is still around and how to contact him. Anybody know of him? contact me c/o roadhousemedia@yahoo.com.au Thanks to all.....Robbie Warden. Melbourne Australia
Hi Robbie, Sadly, Del p***ed away suddenly in December of 2003. His brother, Ron, still covers street rod and nostalgia events on the West coast, as well as the Indy Hot Rod Nats. You can reach Ron at onlineprodzr@hotmail.com. Del was a "top bloke" who thoroughly enjoyed hot rods of all forms, nostaliga drags, and the people who make it all happen, and was never without a smile. Dawn
