My guess is you're going to get all kinds of answers to this one based on people's own experiences. If you're looking for simplest and we're talking about a stock vehicle, I'd say a repro harness from Mac's or the like. If you're talking about a modified car and/or a 12v conversion, any of the aftermarket harnesses are going to be similar. I've installed a few Rebel Wire harnesses in different cars and I like them. The biggest problem you'll have with an aftermarket harness is figuring out the wiring for the stock switches and accessories.

boneyard said it as well as it could be stated!

If you are interested in the aftermarket, I have a full write-up with pictures and videos concerning an install on a 55 Ford Club Sedan using a Rebelwire kit. There are 6 articles all found on this page: https://www.hotrodreverend.com/in-progress/tag/Rebelwire

I installed this brand and kit for the following reasons:
    1. service after the sale - these people have a good reputation
    2. quality/expense point was a good match for my build. the OEM harnesses were almost double what I spent
    3. added AC, an Alternator, and a few other goodies to 12 volt system running a Y block Ford Engine

    I am happy, very happy

I went Kwik Wire on my '59 and it was pretty easy. I had the OG Ford wiring diagram to fall back on when I wasn't sure what to do. Like the dome light, the old Fords were 1 wire and the bulb housing was the ground. The harness took 2 wires.

if you use a reproduction harness aside from the simplicity it will be more than heavy enough for 12 volts in the future.
