Can somebody clue me in please just going around in circles online
    End of cam says
    TY83A
    ISKY
    3P 112
    256 HYD
    SUPERCAM
    396

  2. Maybe it's a hydraulic cam with 256 degree duration and 112 degree lobe separation that fits a 396 BBC.

Well I thought that but I can't find anything online so never assumed and I did see something relating to amc and as I have no gm stuff it doesn't look familiar to me plus it came from a jeep guy
So whats the lift and spec?? Maybe I can trade it with somebody for a ford cam

    What am I missing here?

I was actually on that site looking at that cam before i posted . Ok so it's not a BBC cam then it's Pontiac? Glad i never assumed !

    3p?
    TY83A?

Sorry if I'm ignorant on this but its listing a 4.9 AND 7.5 is that even the same block and would fit??
Thankyou for taking the time to try and advice but I'm still not entirely convinced I

Pontiacs all have the same dimension for the cam, so they fit all blocks/displacements. There is no such thing as a "big block" or "small block" Pontiac.

Like you, I don't see the tie-in determining it is a Pontiac cam. A call to Isky should reveal all.

Call Isky, they have records going back for years. A cousin of mine has a nailhead Buick cam that he got in some parts he bought, couldn’t find any specs on it. Called Isky, it was a one off that had been ground for a racer, they tried to buy it from him! He put it in his nailhead in his 59 Chevy pickup, he really likes it!
