Yeah! If we keep moving it, the Blingers will never find us! :p

Seriously, the newbie(s) might be on to something here. I do agree that it might be better if it was more central-- like Arlington or Irving or something... that way all the D's and the FW's are accessible.

Slide has the right idea.....elude the blingers by keepin it movin. All planning and such will be done on the HAMB, and we know the bling would never look here.:D

I say move it around, and to those willing to host it in their garage, it's BYOB.
Some of us are pretty busy tryin' to get our own crap done, so a major committment to b.s. nights, is outta the question for. But if we could hang in the garages where stuff needs to get done, just roll up the sleeves, and break out the torches/plasmas/welders/wrenches.
    That would be kosher.

Lets see....Friday night seems to be good for most, hang at the garages. So how many local D/FW HAMBers would be interested in these "Friday Night Beer and Nucklebustin' Garage Invasions"? Let's get a roll call.....

Looks like flt-blk called us out... and he's right.

OK, so let's say we just decided it's Friday nights.

I'll go as far as saying let's start it this Friday. WHAT??? Yes, THIS Friday-- or we'll just keep talkin' about it and never doin' it.

Not sure about movin' it all the time, but it would certainly be do-able to have 1st Friday of the month @ _______, 2nd Fridays will be at ______, 3rd and so on. If there's a 5th Friday, then we'll take that off. (My neighbors say I need to mow the yard every once in a while!)

If we get to a certain point on the 1st Friday car, and someone else pops up and needs whatever on their ride, then we can move 1st Friday to that spot. Obviously, same for other Fridays.

And it's my understanding that some HAMBers like to eat... maybe one of the nites could be at a place that sells food?

This coming Friday is the 4th Friday of the month of June. Where's it gonna be? My garage is awful small (and full), and my car is already running/driving, so I'd rather help someone else on theirs...

And my own request: it's gotta be a year-round, rain or shine thing...

I know I can't make it every Friday (especially depending on distance), but I'd definitely like to see something happen.

I am up for this type of function. I agree on the car club shit. No fucking nothing. Just do it cause we can and want to.

The old Tuesday night thing was a great deal.

I would like to keep it central if possible maybe just moving once a month or so. I realy like Lewisville cause my piece of shit will make it that far, less jurisdictions to go through and the tow company is right there just in case LOL!

Good people just to hang out for ten minutes or a few hours. Whatever they can do or afford.

Oh and the eat thing. I will cook REAL BBQ for one event to clear up any of that old bullshit from last year on how things are done "out here".

Are we going to be called fags if we decide to drive our daily car instead of the hot rod because we don't feel like driving it however far it may be to that weeks gathering in the blazing texas heat?

Shouldn't be too hot if we do the evening/night thing.....:)

  17. Dude,
The gay bar is why we were calling you a fag, not the daily driver
Just joking, the chick you brought to the Roundup was kinda cute.

Let me be part of the solution here.;)

In Arlington by UTA, Abrams and Cooper there is a McDonalds. Every Friday
night from 6:00 - ?9:00?? there is a little local get together. You can head
over to Hot Rods and Hogs and make fun of the Bitch bikers and 80's rockers
    afterwards.

I will be at LaGrave field friday after work but if some people are coming up I
can meet you when I get back.

There is a single screen drive-in in Grandbury and a four screen drive-in in Ennis. Grandbury-pay by carload, Ennis-pay per person. The drive-in is a cool thing...haven't taken the '53 yet.

I used to know a brown-ish Mexican guy that had everyone over to his shop in Irving once a week for wrenching and burgers.. now he is running a day-care center and spends all of his time on Myspace leaving lewd comments on 16 year old girls' profiles.

I'm not allowed to attend functions that go until "???".
"???" usually means that I'll have too much to drink!

I'm down for an Arlington meet. Much further than that, and I just haven't gotten my car to a place where I'm 100% satisfied with long freeway trips.

I've been to the McDonalds on Abrams on Friday nights a few times in my car. It's okay, but not really very many "Traditional" cars go up there. Add to that, they lot is always full to the maximum, if we make that the meeting place I think we're going to run out of room quick. What about at a Sonic? Just an idea. If you guys think Arlington would be the most centeral, there are several around here right off major highways.

The Clubhouse is about as central DFW as you can get.
