Condenser. I have an old ('60s, in box; use it from time to time) Coil tester. Set it down, connect leads to primary on coil (points OPEN, or 'blocked' with cardboard matchbook cover. I have lots with phone numbers, no names...) Other lead to a good known ground. Turn ignition on, to 'run'. An adjustable ground screw is turned in or out, watching the spark. (similar to a Model T coil, this tester has a motor in it that simulates contact points. It will also test condensers.)
Wow ! I guess i aint alone. I hate buying more parts to compensate for parts that dont work right ! If pressure is so critical then build a regulator into the carb. I dont know maybe im just gettin old and cranky. Guess i get to order a regulator.
Can pressure regulators be mounted on the engine block ? Or do they have to be somewhere cooler. Dont really want it to look like a big wart !
