Trying to cross reference a Wheel cylinder off of old hotrod. Right front Cyl is 4 bolt mount stamped RH FD-276 Wagner and looks like its stamped 1 5/8 Also the rear is a GM 12 bolt WC PO ( 0 ? ) 49391 G 9 ( think 7/8 " ) Parts stores were useless Thanks
Can you get any pictures and measurements? I have a few catalogs at my disposal, I also was unable to cross ref "FD-276" in my catalog. I dont know where in the Northeast you are but i know a couple of stores in Connecticut that might be able to help. Ford front Cylinders, I'm finding that they fit 42 thru 52, and have 3 mounting holes (See Below) Raybestos WC8264 (L) & WC8265 (R) The Wheel Cylinders for the trucks have a larger bore 1 & 1 3/8, or strait thru 1 3/8 bore Casting Numbers can be tricky in the Automotive Catalog world, the manufacturers are not including many any longer. Also, if you are still having no luck, and your castings aren't trashed wheel cylinders are pretty easy to rebuild, and the kits just go by size J.S.
Look at a Ford chassis parts catalog...there is a joker in the deck that might be a cause of puzzlement. Prewar cylinders, at least fronts, were smaller than later ones and are now largely undocumented because they went out of use and were replaced by the later version. Kits were available for a while but not cylinders. I'm not at home to look anything up.
