I am starting to paint some of the stuff on my car. Has anyone gone with a matte clear? And if so, what did you go with?

the paint manufacturers are recommending you to apply a gloss clear on first then sand with 1000 grit. then apply the matte clear. i can tell you without a doubt that sherwin williams' 1100727 will give the best results. the gloss level or lack there of will be consistent thru the paint job. others, even sherwins previous version have tendencies to gloss out in areas if you apply too heavy or dont give the same flash time between coats. if you are not a machine you could wind up having a flat panel next to an eggshell, next to a satin.. the SW 1100727 virtually eliminates that
