So what’s the best way to mount early Ford wires to a 9” or Winters diff? Obviously pickup axles and Lincoln style drums and.... Any help appreciated.
I use a 1” thick wheel adapter to run big pattern wheels on a Maverick rear. The wires will fit over the Maverick drums. The wheel support rings would needed.
You could weld these on your axle housings and run early Ford or Lincoln brakes. https://www.hotrodworks.com/product/big-bearing-early-ford-brake-housing-ends/ Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Remember, as Andy said, you need support rings due to the fact that the wire wheels mount at two different levels, see: https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/40-ford-wheels-on-a-model-a.750368/#post-8330045 Also small correction, the '36 wheels were solid rims with a 5 on 10 1/4 bolt pattern. The last early Ford wires were 1935. Charlie Stephens
