Event Coverage Daytona Turkey run golf cart?

i want to take my dad to the Daytona turkey rod run car show
We went a few years ago , but he’s 83 now and I’d like to get a golf car or something
I can’t find any rules or anything regarding what is acceptable
Golf carts or side by side UTVs ?

And is there any place that rents em or do I need to bring my own ?

 

A few years back when we did the swap meet we had to have letter to show that we needed a golf cart for a handicap person. The last time I was at that show I used a mobility scooter with no problem. they make scooters that will come apart and you can carry them in the trunk of your car. Some places will rent these, check around.

It’s been a few years since I went but seems like I remember seeing people using golf carts and side by sides there

 

Who needs to write the letter ?
Any random doc or PA or NP?

Do the scooters run ok on the grass and gravel ?

 

They work good and are not slow.

 

This year's Turkey Run brochure says:
"Golf carts are not allowed as handicapped mobility aids. Personal handicap conveyances are allowed. (If you can take it in Wal-Mart you can bring it)"
