Bring back this thread. Let's see more low static drop!!! Heres my shoebox coupe Sent from my SM-G977U using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Front cross member is the lowest point underneath at about 3.5 inches-goes down the road just fine-a sharp driveway can usually be navigated at an angle without catching the bumper
Here's my '50 chevy....no juice, no assist. Actually rides like a dream and glides right down the road without hitting too much if you watch what you are doing.
My F100. FRONT: reversed spring eyes, 3 inch drop axle, 3 leaves removed, rear hanger sectioned 2 inches, still need to do a 2 inch kick on the frame at the front hanger. REAR: reversed spring eyes, 3 leaves removed, rear hangers moved up 2 inches, extended rear shackles, flipped front hangers, still could move flipped front hanger up 2 inches.
This cars pretty low considering it has 28.5" tall tires all the way around. 5" dropped Sids axle, reverse eye main with leaves removed in the front. Chassis engineering low parallel leaf kit in the rear. Will probably get a lowering block to level it out this winter. Sent from my SM-G977U using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
My 59 Mercury was a pretty low static car that I drove every day for a lot of years... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Only about 3.5" off the running board brackets. The Axle is the lowest point, so I figure if I can run it over I will be fine. If it hits the axle.....Well lets not think about that. No scrub line concerns, even with the tall sidewall tires. Only trouble I have had is occasionally dragging a running board over a speed bump when I am straddling it so I take big ones at an angle.
My old ‘50 pulling in the LSRU. Frame was about 3” off the pavement. Rode ok for what it was and only got stuck on one speed bump! Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
2" drop spindles and cut coils in the rear. Just a tad too low. Speed humps can be a problem, drive shaft hits the floor with passengers in the back seat and luggage in the trunk.
That’s beautiful, can you give me all the details how you dropped it and wheel and tire sizes it looks spot on Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
...all my rides have static drop, my55 is probly the lowest....BTW, you know why we lower our cars?...cuz most of us are "down to earth people". lol
