Can anyone decode the accessory codes on a 1964 impala cowl tag? Next to "ACC" I have: "3C,5Z" Also, after "TRIM" I have "859" (Saddle Vinyl), but I also have "T-10"? Thanks, Jay
Well, I got out my Chevrolet by the Numbers, 60-64, but he doesn't list the codes, cuz he's afraid people will make "bogus" cars. Shoot it over to chevytalk and they should be able to help. jay
try this site, i decoded my 64 biscayne wagon vin with it. http://www.1963chevrolet.com/tools.htm good luck. -jimmy-
I decoded the trim codes there. But he doesn't have the ACC codes. Someone on chevytalk said "3C" is for padded dash which it has. Still need "5Z". Maybe posi rearend?
Year One used to have the decoder in their thick catalogs. I can't find my old one (I probably chunked it). Someone who has one should be able to completely break down your tag from that catalog. Reverend Jake
Chevy Cowl Tag Decoder Here are the results of the codes you've entered: Style: 641867 Year: 1964 Series: Impala Body Style: Convertible Engine: 8 Cyl Body: 1523 Serial #: 523 Trim: 859 Series: Impala Interior Color: Saddle Material: Vinyl Cloth Leather Paint: 900 Color: Upper Body Color: Tuxedo Black
3C means Padded dash... 5Z means Shoulder Seat Belts.... I´m not sure about T-10 but I'll think it is about color on a convertible top ? Still wondering what 12C in top means...? Can it be Month 12 and week 3 ?
