    I have worked on sprintcars and midgets for a few years,I wanted to know what length and diameters people were using and how they were mounted. In sprint cars We stacked them,angle the stack flopped them and old car ran them parallel to the frame

    I will check,Bob Dron car was a Moal setup.

    Possibly the most sophisticated development of the torsion bar was Packard's Torsion Level system of '55-'56:

    It seems, though, that Packard themselves didn't quite understand what Bill Allison was on about, because adding anti-roll bars partly negates the whole point of the system.

    kind of ugly but a consideration ,the later mopars-early 80's like the Volare have a full bolt on front crossmember /suspension that includes cross mounted torsion bars. just a thought.

    The front axle from a vw beetle or bus can be modified to fit nearly any car. Or, you can slice and dice it and make your own setup using fairly simple and available parts.
