    Hey all,

I just finished squirtin some "low budget" flames (first timer, be gentle) on my '53. Now I need to have them outlined, to "tighten" up the edges". Are there any pinstripers in the south Dallas area that would outline these for me? I've been talking with Daniel in Wylie, found him on the O-Dex. He said he'd do'em for $50 but that's about 50 miles:eek: from my place. Here's a shot of em....

if we're talking about the same Daniel, PLEASE do yourself a favor and spend a little time driving the extra mile to get your flames tipped out by this guy, super clean and super solid work....do your truck RIGHT! Nice flames BTW....

Man $50 is cheap and with a recommendation to boot seems like it would be worth the drive.

PM Hard Luck on here. But don't expect to beat $50, because that will barely cover the price of the One-Shot. I would be su****ious of that price, unless he is a personal friend of yours. If I were a professional, I wouldn't set up my brushes for half a bill...

id charge you about 300 for that flame job and anyone else in NJ would charge upwards of 500!! 50$ is dirt cheap even if its 100 miles away. hell, pay him 150 AND gas money to come to you.

Daniel? Are you talking about Daniel Gay...aka "deuce" here on the Hamb? If so, then I'd say drive wherever he wants you to drive if he'll do it for $50.00. Daniel does nothing but top notch work.

I could do it also, but my price wouldn't be anywhere close to $50...I guess I'm pretty much on the same price scale as Caffeine.

On second thought, maybe you missed a 0 and meant to type $500?

Fifty dollars is insanely cheap to outline that many flames.

i just checked his email again and it says $50.

Suprised me too. I figured way more. Maybe he's feeling generous.

By the sounds of his rep, if Daniel says there is cheese on the moon I better get my crackers and get on up there....

If it was $50 or $500 and you had a deal going, do the deal. Obviously you liked the work and the man, do the drive. That is the HAMB way

And if it was 50 you could afford a flat bed both ways and still be ahead.

Never had this type of work done before so didn't know the price, don't know the guy and don't have anything "going". I'm a newbie to the HAMB. Thanks for settin me straight about the HAMB way.:D

Just making sure you don't poke the pooch with others. You will always need friends. You will make some good ones here.

Just making sure you weren't doing the re-shopping shopping thing. And besides that you have about half a dozen or better great artists on here vouching for Daniel and his talent.

Rent a trailer! LOL Good luck.

I talked to Daniel tonight and thats what he said 50 bucks. I would be taking it to him ASAP !!!

  23. thanks for the kind words from those that know me. for the others, yes i know $50. is below what most charge. i would be higher if i had to go to the job. the price i quoted is for the work being done at my place. i like having good light, being out of the weather,etc...(plus i have a/c in the garage). for those that think i can't be any good if i only charge $50. here is a sample of some flames i outlined. to me the work is more important than the money. i stripe every day in body shops and at dealer lots. it's steady money, but it's mostly just straight lines that aren't real exciting. i enjoy doing custom work and am honored when i am asked to do it.

Give him a try I think ya got several guys sayin he does good work. 50 miles in the metro plex is nothing. Other wise it will take along time if ever to get it done and will always wander, if you should have take the plunge.
