How about a feature on all the cars I didn't build. That could take up a few pages..,:(

Hey everyone, again thanks but before I get a chance to respond to each e-mail let me just give a few tips about the pictures. Some I recieved already are great, but some are really great cars that will need to be reshot. Things to remember- 1. Clean background (take it out of the driveway, or at least move the late model parked next to it) 2. Sun at your back so we get the sunny side of the car. 3. get CLOSE, don't need tiny pictures of the car shot across a parking lot of pics at an event with a bunch of trucker hats looking at the car. 4. FOCUS (got some blurry shots- we can't fix those).

This is your shot- at least get some good pics and show off your ride. Look at the feature pictures in a magazine and mimic that style. 3/4 shots on a clean back ground with nice light usually found around dusk. Sell your car and make it look its best! You will be happy you did when you see it in print.

Hello Jim- just sent a couple pics over of our sub-$10k hot rods (from when the magazine asked for info on hot rods built for under $10k) :D

(Sorry, don't have a good shot of the Model A yet)

    Jim-

It's awesome that you're giving the HAMB this opportunity. It is appreciated. The articles in the mag look good these days, and you've got some real, usable tech. Keep it up!

Hey Jim, got my nes R&C today, great job! The extra content is great. Lots of cars, tech, show coverage, great feature on Littleman's bad A's, the best issue in a while. You guys are heading in the right direction.

Do you want pics of projects/parts piles too :D

Constructive advice Mike- that's a very good picture- perfect if you turned the front wheels the other way- just to let people know what I'm looking for. Thanks Jim

I was just thinkin' that. One of my old minitruck buddies from back in the day always tought me to take pics from a 3/4 front view, but with the wheels turned so you can see the whole front wheel and none of the tread.

That car really turned out nice, Mike, I hadn't seen any good finished shots of it yet.

  13. kind of a 3/4 veiw I just took but probably not enough did'nt notice til i gaot the car back home and started to work on sizing the pics, the second one i did some photo shopping to remove a pole and fill in some shadow's

Jim, I sent you an email with some pics, but they were just random shots, not good composed, magazine-quality shots. I can take some more of those if you're interested. I also included an article idea

I like the car, but I'm sorry you just posted a good example of how NOT to take a photo if you want to see your car in a magazine. Problems- 1. Whole car not in the shot 2. Too many things around it (cars, people shadows).

Look at Mike's NEW photo above and see if you can make that happen. Thanks Jim

Interested in my '29 Survivor built in '59? Same as it was back in the day, after 38 years in storage....built by my late father, restored by me and kept as close to original as possible.

Hey man, I am wondering if there is ever going to be a Young guns type thing again?

I am 18 and drive a 1956 Buick Wagon Daily, and My brother is 21 and Drives a 1960 Cadillac, He also has a chopped 1957 Ranchero...but I always liked seeing the young guns thing because it is cool seeing other kids doing the stuff our fore fathers did!!

There's no plans at this time to bring back that program but we're always looking for hot rods built by young Guns. We have a couple coming up in the next few issues that are very cool.

John, send Jim Aust (JimA) a CD with good high res photos of your roadster along with a bit of background and we'll work it in sometime.
