Try using the "search" feature up top there....see it? good.

There have been a **** ton of "where do I get insurance" posts on the HAMB over the last 5 years or so...

I wouldn't use anyone but Grundy. You'll be blown away on how inexpensive their premium is even for full coverage. Kicker is, there is only three states that have a deductable if something happens and you just happen to live in one of the three. But I believe the premium is so inexpensive that even with a deductable you can go wrong. It will take you about 30 seconds to get a quote online.

My daily driver '54 Chevy is covered by GEICO. I think I had it on with Progressive at one time too.

Both of my old cars are issured with State Farm currently (Min coverage) but I am going thru the process with Grundy right now as min coverage is enough

  7. Yeah, most companies will insure older cars, be interesting to hear who yours is. In fact, mine the rate was the same for a 1972 car or a 1950 car -

I'm in NC, and I use farm bureau. I have liability only, and it's CHEAP! Like MAYBE $200 a year cheap.

I use AON Collector Car insurance. They insure you at an agreed upon value of the car. I pay about $120/year for full coverage. You can find them online.

  13. I live in northwestern SC and have used JC Taylor since 1982. Made a large claim years ago and they were great about resolving it. Hope this helps, lots of choices out there.
Checking previous threads is always a good idea BUT with something like insurance where company ownwership changes every five minutes it never hurts to see what the latest info and experiences of HAMBers are.

  14. Thats what I thought.Something like insurance changes so fast, old info would not help.I plan to use my 1960 falcon as daily driver so grundy, hagerty, etc won`t work for me because they limit driving to parades, car shows, etc.thanks

Farm Bureau. $125.00 every 6 months for laibility.

I have 3 pre 64 cars , the wifes new Mustang and the house with them. GREAT to deal with. Plus, my agent is kind of hot....

By the way, be carefull of some "hidden" restrictions of a cl***ic car policy. Some companys WILL NOT cover you if you drive the car to work. Also, you must have at least one new car for every licenced driver in the household. Plus, they want your car garaged.

I have talked to all the major specialty car insurance companies...they all said the same thing. You can not use your hot rod as a daily driver.

    Good luck, -Abone.
