I've had an 8BA sitting in the shop for a year waiting for a roadster and last weekend I found one. A 1929 that is in amazing condition. Now I have a winter project.
Very nice find. Doesn't look like much of a project though, if you get my drift. There's no rust to repair like most have to start with! Lynn
I saw this body pop up on CL last Saturday in Hutchinson MN. Though it looked like a relative bargain. Glad you got it. Sent from my iPad using H.A.M.B.
When it showed up on Craigslist I just hoped I was the first guy to respond since it had only been on there for 2 hours. I new it wouldn't last long. When I picked it up the next morning he had a list of people who wanted it.
No big exotic plans for it, my coupe is dropped 5" but for now the roadster is staying at stock height. The coupe has a 1939 3 speed and a 1947 open shaft rearend and steelie wheels but I want 35 wire wheels and a tranny with an overdrive in the roadster, not sure what tranny I'm looking for yet. Next summer I will drive it that way and change what I don't like next winter.
Here is my 29 body on a 30 chassis. Used model T windshield pivots to make the windshield adjustable. I live about 60 miles from Huch! Sent from my SM-J337P using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Got a little work done. New tires, tubes and caps on freshly powder coated wire wheels. Most of the front end parts cleaned and painted. The engine is still waiting patiently in the back corner. Need to find a tranny and rearend before we are butt deep in snow.
