Hi I'm new here. I would like to fit the hubcaps to my 1956 Ford Fairlane, would like it as a traditional mild custom. But I'm finding it difficult to identify these hubcaps. Please can you tell what are these or where I might buy a similar set? Thanks.
The top looks like a 56 mercury with aftermarket bullet The botton looks like 55-57 lincoln with aftermarket center bullet
Thanks Spoggie and lodaddyo for your replies. Yep seems like they really are those hubcaps! I have another question please. (I'm quite new to this please bear with me ) How is it that the wheel cover covers the whole of the wheel in the two photos in my first post and doesn't leave an outer edge of the wheel showing (just like in the below photo)? Any modifications that are usually done to it I guess? Thanks.
Both of those pictures look like '55 Pontiac caps to me, just with a bullet added. The bullet on the Ford looks a bit smaller than the one on the Lincoln. As for getting the no-wheel-showing effect, if they are indeed '55 Pontiac caps, I think the Ford has white painted wheels to match the white sidewall of the tire, and the Lincoln has black wheels, looking like the inner lip of the tire instead of a wheel. Higher resolution pics would tell more.
I agree with @Squablow......those are '55 Pontiac wheel covers. The smooth raised center section in the photos agrees with '55 Pontiac caps.....not the others suggested in subsequent posts. Ray
