Now I understand why a paint job is 10 grand these days...

What a bunch of fucking work. This thing is by no means a show car, but it's buffing out fairly well. Not bad for a race car..

Still lots to do before the HAMB Drags.

Jeff, that fender is looking awful shiny for you... you know you are setting a standard you will have to maintain on all future builds.. do you have the glass yet?

I did a basecoat/clearcoat repaint on my 1990 Suburban this past fall. Damn, I swear that thing was growing huger by the hour when the wet sanding process began of the sanding primer. Did the job in my driveway and it came out sweeeet! Hell yeah its fucking work. In fact, I lost about 10 pounds due to all that work, and I'm in very good shape to begin with!

    Your Stude is looking awesome!

Hey, Root. The Stude is base clear.

I got a little more sanding and buffing done today. Gimme a few minutes, and I should have some pics.

Cool. I was teetering on the idea of doing the Fleetline in black. Seeing your car all shiny and black pushed me over to the dark side.

    The Stude looks GREAT!
I feel your pain concerning body work and paint...
Finishing my 53 in gloss was a TON of work..glad i did it, but a bitch and not something i'd like to do again anytime soon..

I'm looking forward to seeing your car finished up..from the body work and finish, to what i can see on the inside it sure as hell looks like a DAMN nice ride!
