I have a 30 roadster and a set of nice american stamping 32 rails. I know that if you don't want to you don't have to pinch 32 rails to make a 30-31 body fit.
However, If I do decide to pinch them I'm not really sure how to. I have read many, many posts on here about putting A's on 32 rails....been trying to do some research to put my roadster body on the correct way...but in the threads I have read where guys say that they pinched their rails...they don't explain how it's done....and that's where I need help.
Do I have to pie cut the inner portion or the rail then bend..? Do I heat and bend??...how is it done..?
Also not 100% where to position the cowl on the rails...should I position the cowl on the stock 32 cowl mounts holes??..does anyone have a measurement where to cut/bend/heat the frame for pinching...any kind of help would be appreciated. Thank you...pics to come soon....

I pinched and re-contoured mine to fit the body of my A coupe. It was just a matter of cutting the edges and tweaking to fit. No heat. Just measure, double check, and tack.

I looked at a few pictures to help me decide where to place the body, but for the most part I just put things where I thought they looked good. To me thats hot rodding.
