Me & my 68 year old car are heading to Nashville in the morning. 200 miles on I-40 has me a bit uneasy but if something's gonna break, it'll happen out there.

Me, young Kennedy, & a few others are at the Clubhouse Inn on Briley Parkway. Supposed to be across the street from the host hotel (Mariott).

If anyone is in the neighborhood look for my '38 coupe, Kennedy's '34 highboy, a killer black Deuce roadster, & a green '39 Tudor sedan. Stop by & say hello.

    See yall there (hopefully). ;)

    I'm praying for scattered showers.

Here lately it's felt like nothing but scattered fire balls.

Should be nice weather, highs in the low eighties.

My plans are to pick up registration stuff Friday morning, and head to the show....

In my 78 year old vehicle :)

Just finished scrubbing the whitewalls and will be dodging rain drops in the morning! Should be a good time though, my dad went down this morning and said there were quite a few cars there for a Thursday morning. He said he heard someone say they had about 1500 pre-registered. Hope everybody makes it!

You are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT, but it is like a vacation for a lot of guys, If you go to disneyland/disney world/busch garden or most any place you pay for your fun and entertainment.
not trying to pick an argument, just trying to look at the thing logically, just my $.02 worth.

Yep, kinda sucks, but no different than NSRA.

And the Goodguys Gazette is a lot better than the NSRA mag.

I'll give it a shot this year.

I got the tranny back in my '46, so if I get the bugs worked out I'll be down Saturday. Not entering it in the show though, like Sam said it would about $70 since I'm not a GG member. Between the HRR last week, my busted tranny, and my upcoming family vacation next week I'm pretty much broke.

I will look for you guys though. See ya there.

Non-members could register a car for $55 without joining. That got you two three day passes and, obviously, got your car in - where it was all happening. If you're leaving your hot rod in the spectator parking lot you might as well have driven your wife's SUV & ridden in comfort. IMHO.

Guys under 25 could enter the Under 25 "show" & get a free year's membership.

TimW, I saw your Deuce sedan. Loved it. That car is just about perfect. You need to toss some pics up here. I saw your HAMB decal but didn't recoginze the car.

Ratster, I took I-40 & ran 65 the whole way. Got passed by everything on the road 'cept for a double wide house trailer on the backs of two semi trucks. I went around them like I was Dale Earnhardt.

Jonski, I've met your Dad. Years ago. He was picking something up at Adam & Roger's. Glad to see you on here. What are you working on? Adam told me you either had a neat hot rod or had one in the works. I can't remember if he said it was done or not though. Deuce something with a Pontiac engine maybe?

I have pics & a full report to post later....
