doesnt Pismo still have the fathers day car show at the pier? I am from Visalia...Mearles drive in and Cruisin Mooney Blvd is the ****! You got the Famous drive in for food...cruise down mooney to the other end and go to the park (lots of shade and a boating pond) and that night watch a flick at the Mooney drive in.... Cl***ic California Saturday night....Maybe cruise up to Rocky Hill and look at the Valley lights....Man i miss it...Where was the HAMB when i was there for 26 years? Cleveland dont have that ****! You guys are lucky damnit! Riverland is cool too!
I know of a place that might be a good place to meet.. There is a place on hiway 132 called Vernals, it has lots of parking two restaurants there and a store. Something to think about...DW
Saturday evening I met Chopndrop at the staging of the parade downtown Modesto. That Galaxy was pretty sweet too!! Sorry I couldn't stay long, my Dad was feeling like he did when he had a heart attack a 4 weeks ago. Here's a few pics from the American Graftti show. I only took pics of the traditional cars, none with billet, I p***ed any that did. So where the Hell's this at now anyway? It's seems to have died on the vine (pardon the Central Valley pun there). I'm wondering if this isn't just too big geographically. Maybe we should just have little regional get togethers every couple of months and one big meet once a year. Preferably when there aren't a hundred other shows at the same time. Just a ponder.
Yea that's it.. It is between Modesto and Tracy, Just off Interstate 5. There are two Restrauants and a little store there. Someone parks old cars for sale there every now and then. A 59 chevy truck was there last week. Saw a four door Hudson there last year. That one idea...Donn
Ok, so where the hell are we with this thing. I'm thinking of driving out from the bay area, and would like to know where I'm going. (I've been told where to go many times) Craig
Alright i just jumped on this **** and I missed the last one due to viva and car breaking down so did it p*** and if it didnt count me in I know of a place in fresno it is .......ANGELOS Drive in its old , been around since 53 and it has good burgers and a good size lot on olive near DMV and if we cant get the cen cal together lets get fresno together just seta date... oh and by the way to Muttly thanks for the white wall cleaner in paso there still white too bad for a flat tire.
Yeah, I'd thought about Angelo's too. Nice big lot, decent food ( good fries! ) and right off the freeway.
I told you that stuff was great. If you want to buy a can it's called Sprayway Orange Citrus Crazy Clean.....their gl*** cleaner is great to. I get the stuff at the Janitorial supply place on Villa south of Shaw.....it's near the Jiffy Lube and movie theatre.
Ok . . . So where is Angelo's and when are we meeting. I don't want to get on the board Monday and hear what a great time yall had. Craig
Angelo's is off of 99 on Olive Ave. smack dab in the middle of Fresno. Not exactly the best place to be after dark but it is right down the street from the Tower District which IS pretty sweet after dark! I do wish we could agree on a date though, although I'll probably end up working again anyway . Commercial HVAC tech+Fresno summers="What the Hell was I thinking?"
I am also from Visalia. Born and raised! now living in Selma though. You just described a perfect get together. If I'm not mistakin mearles was used in some filming of the movie American Graffiti too. Mooney is well known as a cruise spot and mooneys grove is great park down mooney going towards Tulare. they have alot of shows and different functions there. Meet at mooneys grove? Drive down to the famous Mearles? Cruise mooney? then to those that are up for it cruise up to rocky hill.....sounds like a good time..oh yea How could I forget the drive in? But if not River park....
im down to roll out to fresno lets just throw down a date and stick too it... July 8th??? GotDamn its hot in July
If your coming north or south on 99, take the Olive Ave. exit and head east for a little less than a mile. You'll go over the railroad tracks and Angelo's is on the left hand side about 50 yards past the tracks/intersection. If your in town, there's a bunch of way to get there but whichever direction you come from, just cruise west though the Tower District down Olive. You'll see it on the right just before the RXR tracks.
[Ok, the 15th, Angelo's, 1:00pm, the hottest part of the day, In the hottest part of the world, Cool cars and cool people. See you guys there. Please don't change it again, I had to reschedule a tattoo for this. Craig PS: Muts, I know it's a dumb question, but whatsupp with the chocolate covered pretzels joke? Movie quote? Hobby? ***ual Fetish? Inquiring minds want to know . . .
