Hot Rods How to keep adapter ring in place 32 wheel on 40 front drum?

    I JB'd the ring to the wheel. It fell out when I took the wheel off. What do you guys do to keep it in place, weld it?

    We're the surfaces bare and clean when you put on the JB Weld? I'd just try it again.

    Lock***e 680 retaining compound ...clean your parts and be quick, it works in about 5 seconds.

  5. I've heard of them being tack welded onto the back of the wheel.

    Yeah, I guess that's the ticket. Quick zap and hope the powder paint survives. Atleast they're black.

    Never saw one of those. Can you place it on the hub and center punch next to it to hold it on?

    I must be missing something here. Heat shrink onto what?

    Those guys think you are attaching the ring to the hub. They don't know that usually the ring is glued to the wheel.
