1A6A9B9C-CBF8-4756-B31C-1ECA79D659D6.jpeg Has anyone made their stock throttle linkage work with a SBF? I want to try and make mine work. I would like to keep the stock gas pedal. I was just wondering if anyone else has tried to do so. Any pictures would be appreciated thank you

I used the factory pedal but adapted a lokar cable to it. Is that the 6cyl piece in the pick? If so I have one off of a v8 car.

When I pulled the 6 cylinder out of my car I kept the original throttle linkage. I made a new link to the carb from round stock. Works very well.

I have the original linkage on my 54 Ford hooked up to my 408 Small block and it works great. Ordered the $30 linkage kit from Jegs and hooked up with no problem,. Very Simple...

Original engine set up. Did nothing other than buy the Jegs kit and hook it up. Good luck...

I am not a fan of that firewall mounted solid throttle rod for one reason, the firewall does not move as much as engine, IE heavy acceleration etc. A cable will not give you false pedal feel when accelerating or engine ***isted deceleration.

Thanks guys for the pictures. i modified mine to fit. Ill be using the lokar cable kit since i already have one. I’ll post a pic later. I thought I had one in my phone but I don’t. The picture just shows some of my progress. Tig welded it together after I shortened it
